One 14k rose gold and alexandrite ring. Item is trademarked, previously enjoyed, and in very good condition.
Often described by gem aficionados as “emerald by day, ruby by night,” alexandrite is the very rare colour-changing gem mineral that is part of the chrysoberyl family. Alexandrite’s are one of the rarest gemstones, normally found in small quantities when mined with limited production, making them also one of the most expensive gems.
This ornate ring, crafted in a soft copper-toned gold showcases twelve oval shaped, faceted alexandrite, with an approximate total weight of 0.75ct. These colour changing beauties approximately measure 3.2/2.9 – 2.2/2.0mm, each stone having a large enough table to show off the “medium dark tonne of slightly bluish green” colour that radiates in the daylight, to the strong colour change of purplish red in incandescent light.
The interiors of the stones range from slightly to moderately included, with good quality cuts.
Due to age and general wear and tear, one of the stones is slightly chipped.
Currently sized at a 7.
