Product Description
One ladies 14kt white gold, diamond and sapphire ring. Item is trademarked and the condition is new.
Made popular in the Western world in the late 15th century, archduke Maximillian of Austria commissioned the very first diamond engagement ring. Originally very ornate in style, over the years we have simplified these rings to showcase a single centre stone, moving away from what was known as the ""Posey ring"".
Fashioned in bright 14kt white gold, this aureate design pays homage to its unorthodox roots while showing off its modern attributes. Beverly K specializes in old world craftsmanship.
Each and every diamond and gemstone alike are hand-selected to flawlessly match and are all hand polished. Their skilled artisans engrave and mill by hand, creating true pieces of art. This piece is no different, with its millgrain bezels and borders, and delicate claw-work. This low-profile setting stretches across the expanse of the finger with a striking mix of baguette and round diamonds.
Set as the centre stone in this ring is a 1.02ct. round brilliant cut, with approximate measurements of 6.43 – 6.36 x 4.03mm., and quality gradings of SI-2 clarity, L colour, and very good cut. This stone was graded by GS Laboratories and comes with a “GS. Pre. Cert. #” which can be cross referenced on their website (http://certificate.gslaboratories.com).
Within an octagonal setting that steps into a rectangular and square design are a total of twenty-two round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring approximately 0.9mm., and weighing an approximate total of 0.08ct. These stones are graded with VS-SI clarity, G-H colour, and good to very good cut.
Set within the four corners of the octagon are a total of four triangle shaped sapphires, measuring approximately 1.6-1.5mm., and weighing an approximate total of 0.12ct. These blue stones are by gauge of “medium dark tone of strong, slightly violetish blue colour”, with light inclusions, and good cut.
This perfected blend of modern and vintage enchants, and beckons with its ornate design, suitable for a more unique take on an engagement ring or as a fashion piece.
This Beverly K ring is currently sized at a 6. Certificate of appraisal provided by Gem Grade Appraisal Service, located in Toronto, with a “suggested insurance coverage” of $10,200.00.
