Auction Description
One lady's 18kt white gold diamond and sapphire ring. Item is new.
Made popular by the late Princess Diana, sapphires seem to hold a special place in everyone's heart. This 18kt white gold cocktail ring is no exception with the interior detailed with strategically placed hearts carved out of the high polished metal. The two largest are placed right in the eye of the 3.80ct rectangular cushion cut sapphire centre stone, driving home the love felt towards this gem. The "strong intensity, and slightly violetish blue colour hue" with heavy inclusions only adds to the profound emotions hidden within each perfectly cut facet.
Tapering up to the elongated cushion on the edges of the wide shoulders and decorating either side of the rings face, are 56 round brilliant cut diamonds. Weighing in at an approximate total of 0.42ct, these SI-2 stones are vibrant with their near colourless grading of G-H, and intense sparkle courtesy of their very good cut. Within their delicate milgrain border, 5 baguette cut diamonds in graduated sizes lead up to the star of the show. These gorgeous VS-2 step-cut stones make up a total 0.16ct, colourless with their E-F grading and glisten endlessly due to their very good cut.
This ring is sized at 5.5.
This ring is expertly appraised by the reputable GS Laboratories for a remarkable $18,300.00.
