One lot of four silver spoons. These utensils vary in purity, location and age. Items are previously owned, but all are in near mint condition. Some pieces have more patina than others.
One ladle spoon, approximately 6-inches in length, with a total weight of 18g. This piece is dated c. 1816 from Edinburg, England, by silversmith Alexander Henderson. The initials J.R. are engraved in cursive on the front of the handle. Light patina.
One large wine tasting ladle, approximately 7-inches in length, with a total weight of 59g. This piece is dated c. 1960 from Taunton, Massachusetts, United States, by silversmiths Reed & Barton. Heavy patina on the handle and rear of the ladle.
One large spoon, approximately 8 ¼-inches in length, with a total weight of 59g. This piece is dated c. 1931 from Copenhagen, Denmark, by silversmith Christian F. Heise. This piece has a minimum purity of 826/1000 parts silver, as this is what was standard during this time period. There is no purity stamp. The front of the handle is engraved with the name “Henrik Ohlsen”, and the reverse “10/10/1931”. Some dark patina on the handle.
One large serving utensil, approximately 8-inches in length, with a total weight of 69g. This piece is dated c. 1940 from Copenhagen, Denmark, by silversmith Raadvad Rustfri. This piece has a minimum purity of 826/1000 parts silver, as this is what was standard during this time period. There is no purity stamp. Some dark patina on the handle.
