Product Description
One lady’s 18k yellow gold, ruby and diamond ring. Item condition is previously loved.
Truly a blast from the past, this vintage ruby and diamond ring is set in a vibrant, subtle, but ornate 18k yellow gold band.
The profiles of this ring feature delicate pierced scroll designs that allow for extra light to seep beneath the gallery and improve the appearances of the stones. Set in the centre is a 1.03ct. oval shaped, cabochon ruby, with approximate measurements of 5.90 – 4.50 x 4.08mm that allow an unhindered view of the deep and moody “medium dark tone of strong, slightly purplish red” colour, moderate inclusions, and soft shimmer from the good cut.
On one side of the ruby, an old European cut diamond is encased within dainty claws, while the opposite side features an old mine cut diamond. These classic cuts have approximate measurements of 4.30 – 4.10 x 3.31/3.06mm., weigh an approximate total 0.80ct., and bear qualities by gauge of I-1 clarity and G-H colour. Indented naturals are found on the diamonds. Accompanying the two old cuts are also two old single cut diamonds. These rare gems have approximate measurements of 1.4 – 1.3mm., an approximate total weight of 0.03ct., and qualities by gauge of SI clarity and G-H colour.
This gorgeous piece of history is currently sized to an 8.
