Sitting just above the silhouette of a round shaped halo, a single 0.73ct. round brilliant cut natural Canadian diamond is held within four dainty prongs. The expanse of this stone measures at 5.60 x 5.56 x 3.63mm., with qualities by gauge of I-1 clarity, F colourless, and Good cut. This stone was graded and weighed prior to being set, by GS Laboratories (Gem Scan), which can be cross referenced on their website (http://certificate.gslaboratories.com) using the GS # located on the appraisal card.
Being a Canadian mined diamond, this stone also features a unique serial number laser inscribed on the girdle of the stone that reads, “(Maple Leaf Logo) MLR158846”. This engraving matches the documentation provided, allowing it to be tracked from the Canadian mine it was extracted from, all the way to the consumer after it had been cut and polished. You can rest assured that this diamond was mined ethically, with only the highest environmental standards. You can “track” your diamond at (https://www.mapleleafdiamonds.com/tracking).
Bead set within the round halo, and cascading down the split-shank band, are a total of fifty-two round brilliant cut accent diamonds. Canadian diamond and gold mines have some of the strictest regulations when it comes down to ethical and environmental standards, ensuring that our ecosystems, environment and the people employed within these companies are taken care of. We believe in the social justice for Indigenous Canadian’s and support strong labour laws to ensure these workers, within the mines and surrounding areas, are treated well, paid well, and are protected by their Unions.
Here at Barry’s, we work very closely with Maple Leaf Diamonds because their Green Initiative aligns with our own.
