Fashioned with botanical stylings in mind, the crown of this engagement ring is reminiscent to that of a blooming flower with its petal-like halo, and seamless transition into the diamond band. This ring is part of the “150 Cut” collection by Maple Leaf Diamonds that paid celebration to Canada’s 150th birthday, featuring an impossibly sparkly centre stone that bears one hundred fifty facets for the utmost of light reflection, all set into Pure White 18k (14% Palladium) nickel-free gold.
The pistil of this blossom measures at 5.85 x 5.80 x 3.60 and weighs 0.74ct. This ethically sourced and mined Canadian round brilliant cut is graded with a stunning VS-1 clarity, G-H colour, and an Excellent quality cut. Being a Canadian diamond, the girdle is laser inscribed with a unique serial number for authentication and tracking purposes. It was also initially weighed and graded prior to being set by GS Laboratories (http://certificate.gslaboratories.com).
The halo making up the petals that are separated by shoots of high polished white gold, encompassing the incredible centre, is compiled of twelve round brilliant cut natural diamonds. An additional two round brilliant cut diamonds are embedded on either side of crowns profile for a little extra bling, while the remaining diamonds are claw-set into the ceiling of the foundation.
A total of thirty round brilliant cut diamonds have been used to adorn this piece, with approximate measurements ranging from 2.20 to 1.40mm., an approximate total weight of 0.80ct., and qualities by gauge of VS to SI clarity, G-H colour, and Very Good quality cut.
