Product Description
This painting represents Britain's four Chiefs of staff during the Anglo-Boer War. At the top is Lord Wolseley, the head of the British Army. Below left is Lord Roberts who succeeded Buller to lead the War against the Boers with his fabled March to Pretoria. Lord Kitchener, who succeeded him and orchestrated the last year and a half of the most bitter part of the war, is on the right. Below is Lord Beresford of the British Navy which supplied the Army with naval guns to counter the Boer Long Toms. The measurement of the painting is approximately 23.5 inches width and 27.5 inches length.
